 I graduated with a B.A. in Physical Education and a Minor in Health from Seattle Pacific University.  I spent my first year as a substitute teacher and then was hired by the Bainbridge Island School District.  I originally thought I would work at Wilkes for about three years and then find a job that didn't involve a ferry ride.  I did shorten my commute of ten years by moving to Poulsbo.

I love being a PE teacher.  It is great to come to a job that allows me to do things that I enjoy such as exercising, play, working with the children and having a lot of fun every day.

I love the Wilkes gym, it is bright, clean and has plenty of space to do a wide variety of activities.  I am super excited for the school year.

In my free time I enjoy going to movies... I am a sucker for anything involving time travel or zombies.  After waiting since I was a kid, I'm excited that Seattle will be getting a NHL team .  I hope they choose to name them the Breakers.  I enjoy trail running at North Kitsap Heritage Park.  I try to read a chapter of a book every day, I like books about health, dystopian novels and the classics.  I am involved in serving at my church.

Fun facts;
  • Outside of the gym I am extremely introverted.
  • I've been working toward becoming a minimalist.
  • I love sharing activities we use at Wilkes with other PE teachers.  Many of our games are played all over the United States.
